Host Ed Sutkowski talks with All Big Ten and Former NFL Linebacker, Eddie Sutter.
An all state linebacker at Richwoods High School in 1987, Eddie Sutter continued his success at Northwestern as a 6’3″, 245 lbs. linebacker. Ed was named the Big 10’s Freshman Player of the Year in 1988 and twice all Big 10 linebacker. He was Northwestern’s most valuable player in both 1990 and 1991. During his 4-year career, he made 429 tackles and is the second leading tackler in Northwestern’s history.
Ed played for the New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals and Atlanta Falcons. During the interview, Ed detailed the pre- and post-game locker room tensions — high school, Northwestern and with the NFL — and his worst and best days as an NFL player.
His football experiences have served him well in his current profession as a Second Vice President, Financial Planning Specialist with the Stevenson-Sutter Team at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and his role as a father of five children.
