Colt Sandberg

Host Ed Sutkowski talks with world traveler and eclectic performing artist Colt Sandberg.

Colt is the son of since-deceased Gary Sandberg — a Peoria, Illinois, councilman for more than 24 years, as Peoria’s inspection’s director for 10 years and as mayor pro tem in 1997. Colt, named by Gary after the then current Baltimore Colts, is a Special Events coordinator at Cirque du Soleil and MASSFX Entertainment Company. He has 24, plus years’ experience performing and producing events in over 60 countries and 600 cities. His current activities include prop designing, performances on Broadway, Macau, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Manila and India, underwater as a pyrotechnist at City of Dreams casino in Macau, China, as a juggler, stilt-walker, magician, sword-swallower and as “Cosmic Colt, the Ritual Clown.” Colt describes himself as a world-traveling street performer whose act is one part Harry Houdini, one part Evel Knievel, with a twist of comedy and a stuntman in Ripley’s Believe It or Not, a watermelon exploding performance during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2003.
